What is Lead Generation?

Lead generation is not a new marketing

technique, but in fact, a new way of bringing

in business using optimal tactics. It is

actually just a formal term referring to the

practice of attracting strangers and

converting them into leads (people who are

interested in a business' service and/or

product). The purposes of lead generation

vary and include but are not limited to blog posts (see how this works?), newsletter list acquisition, coupons and more.

There are four primary inbound marketing strategies associated with lead generation:

  1. Attracting

  2. Converting

  3. Closing

  4. Nurturing

*Quick definition:Inbound marketing refers to the effort and marketing techniques used to attract potential customers and clients to services and products using various forms of marketing, branding and

optimization.

How to Generate Leads?

To generate leads, you must:

1. Attract strangers and visitors using appealing content such as blogs, reels, offer interesting

information, inbound marketing campaigns and more.

2. Convert them into leads using a call to action such as buttons and forms on landing pages or funnels.

(A Landing Page is a standalone page or a section on a website with a or the sole purpose

to capture leads by requesting personal information from visitors. )

3. Close converted leads into customers by sending them emails, using marketing automation tools which most CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platforms offer to

help you with this step of the process.

4. Nurture converted customers to reassure them that using your service / product was the right decision by continuing to email them, engage with them on social media platforms and offer valuable content. Taking these actions will also upsell the customer and encourage her / him / them to promote your business and come back for more.
